Acorn does not publish a dedicated inspection or quality assurance line, and this page says so rather than inventing one. A catalog search across this range returns 4,447 published SKUs, but every product we sampled from it is a 1-5/8″ square personalized designer stamp, sold at $21.95, $26.95 or $29.95, carrying a decorative design plus 3 lines of your own text. These are general-purpose custom stamps that a QA desk can absolutely use, and they are what we actually have. Our catalog does not describe sequential numbering, inspector ID fields, or any pass and fail workflow on these products, and we are not going to claim otherwise.What these are for
What this range does is put the same block of text on the same spot, hundreds of times, without anyone writing it. On a QA desk that means a station mark, a department name, an initials-and-title block, a route-to line or a fixed disposition wording, stamped on a traveler, a router, a tag, an inbound packing slip or a hold label. The published design intent is different: our pages name return addresses, envelopes, invitations, holiday and thank-you cards, packages, gift tags, stationery, school papers and small business packaging, and the buyers they name are households, small business owners, home-based offices, event and wedding planners, teachers and busy parents. So read this range honestly. It is a custom three-line stamp in four mounts. If your QA process needs a serialized number or a rotating date on the same impression, the tool for that is not here; it is a numbering machine or a dater, where the mechanism exists.

The Slim and PSI pre-inked stampers at $29.95 state five ink colors, named on the Slim pages as red, blue, green, purple and black, in an oil-based, smudge-resistant and fade-resistant formula. The Shiny Duo stampers at $21.95 ship with ink pad sold separately, and their pages state the laser-etched die works with water-based and permanent inks, which is the only route in this range to an ink chosen for a specific substrate. Acorn stocks 11 ink colors overall. Our pages in this range do not offer a two-color impression.
What you can customize
What you customize is text. Where our pages publish a line count for this range, and many do not, they describe 3-line or three-line stamps, personalized with a name, an address, business details or a custom message, set alongside a fixed decorative design that is already drawn into the die. The die is produced by precision laser engraving and the artwork is black-and-white line work, so the same rule applies here as to any stamp die: no gradients, no gray fills, no photographs. Our catalog does not state a character count for these three lines, so if your wording is long, treat 40 characters as the working limit our address stamps generally hold and order the optional proof. Several capabilities a QA buyer might expect are simply not described anywhere on these pages, and we will not imply them: no sequential or serial numbering, no rotating date bands, no numbered inspector ID sets, no interchangeable pass and fail inserts, and no stated character limit. What it contains is 4,447 matched SKUs of general-purpose personalized stamps, every sampled one of them a 1-5/8″ square three-line custom stamp in one of four mounts at $21.95, $26.95 or $29.95.
That is not a useless answer, it is just a different one. A fixed three-line block is exactly right for a station identifier, a department mark, a disposition wording or an initials-and-title stamp, and the Trodat self-inking mount at $26.95 gives you 11 ink colors, which is a genuine QA tool: one color per shift, per line or per disposition, from one die design.
What it cannot do is change its own content. If the mark has to carry a number that advances, you want a numbering machine, where alloy wheels advance mechanically on every press, from $89.95 for a 6-wheel unit up to $1,349.95 for the 15-wheel Wide Frame Numbering Machine Model 332, with the $1,729.95 Book and Page Numbering Stamp Left Print above it, with repeat and consecutive movements and a drop zeros feature. If the mark has to carry the day it was inspected, you want a dater, where the date is set by turning bands. One more honest note on stock wording. If what you actually wanted was Approved with a date and a signer, that product exists and this is where to look for it.

Care, re-inking and replacement
Wipe the die whenever you change ink type on a Shiny Duo, particularly after permanent ink, and snap the dust cover back on between uses; that cover is why our pages call the Duo a good choice for a shared or dusty bench. On a Trodat self-inking stamper, re-ink or replace the pad as soon as the impression grays; the pad is designed for it. A Slim or PSI pre-inked stamper is re-inked rather than re-padded, and expect roughly 4 re-ink cycles before impression quality falls off, after which replace the unit. Store any of them face up and out of direct sun. Press once, firmly, and lift straight; rocking a 1-5/8″ square die is what smears a three-line block. Acorn warrants rubber stamps for six months, which is the term printed on our product pages. That is the warranty, not the expected life: in normal use a stamp body lasts several years, and the part that wears first is the pad or the ink rather than the die.
