A company stamp is a rubber stamp that prints your business name and details, usually the name and address, on envelopes, invoices, forms and packages. It is different from a corporate seal, which carries the company's official seal design. What is a company stamp?
It is the business version of a return address stamp. A typical company stamp prints the business name on the first line and the address below it, and a larger die can add a logo beside the text.
A corporate seal is a separate item. It carries the company's seal design, which Acorn's regular and self-inking seal stamps print as a 1-5/8″ circle, and is used on corporate records, either as a raised embossed impression or as an inked seal stamp.
What should a company stamp include?
For mail, the same elements USPS wants in any address: the business name, the street address with the suite number at the end of that line, and the city, state and ZIP+4. Our return address wording guide has examples and the USPS formatting rules.
For invoices and forms, you can add a logo. A larger custom stamp such as the Trodat 4926, with a 1-1/2″ x 3″ die and up to 8 lines of text, is described in the catalog as suited to a business logo and address.

Start with the address stamp and the two or three message stamps you would otherwise write by hand every day. Add the others as the paperwork calls for them.
Business address stamps
The plain text business address stamps come in three and four line versions and are set in 10 to 12 point type, in Arial, Times New Roman, Futura or Courier.

Office message stamps
Acorn lists more than 1,400 ready-made stock stamps, from RECEIVED and PAID to VOID, COPY and PAST DUE. The wood handle versions, such as the Void Rubber Stamp, are $10.95 with a 1/2″ x 1-5/8″ impression and need an ink pad.
The Slim pre-inked versions, such as the Slim Pre Inked Past Due Stamp, are $12.95 with a 1/2″ x 1-3/4″ impression, carry their own ink and come in 5 ink colors.
Date and signature stamps
A date stamp records when something arrived or was approved. The Trodat 4813 Date Stamp is $39.95 with a 3/8″ x 1″ image and one line of text beside the date. The Stock Received Date Stamp is $59.95 and prints RECEIVED with the date, in 11 ink colors or blue text with red dates.
A signature stamp reproduces your signature at about 3/8″ x 3″. It is $19.95 as a Regular Signature Stamp, $25.95 self-inking and $29.95 Slim pre-inked, and you send the signature by email, fax or mail. Check whether a stamped signature is acceptable before using it on a contract or official filing.
Corporate seal stamps
An inked seal stamp prints the corporate seal in ink rather than as a raised impression. The regular and self-inking models print a 1-5/8″ diameter impression in a choice of 12 styles: the Regular Rubber Corporate Seal Stamp at $24.95 to the Self Inking Corporate Stamp Seal at $27.95. Pre-inked seal stamps run up to $54.95.
Self-inking, pre-inked or wood handle?
Self-inking stamps have a built-in pad and a choice of 11 ink colors. Slim pre-inked stamps have the ink built in and are the most compact. Wood handle stamps cost the least and need a separate stamp pad, which lets you change colors.
