Just Rite and Reiner pads
Just Rite self inkers take four pads. The SI-00, SI-0, SI-1 and SI-1-5 share one at $9.95, in 10 colors, described as using indelible inks. The SI-2 takes the SIP-32H at $13.95, the SI-2-5 its own at $14.95 and the SI-3 its own at $15.95, inked or dry. Reiner numbering machines are sorted by type, and both pads are $14.95 in black or red only. The Type 1 pad fits the 316, 318, 319, 832, 833, 18, 19, 18/8, 19/8, 6A, 6K, 6S, 8A, 8K, 8S, RF 340, RF 341, RF 343 and RF 344. The Type 2 pad fits the B-600, B-600/A, B-600/K, B-600/S, B6-532, B6-534 and B6-535. Separate from these is the cloth marking pad at $11.95, for the Trodat 4911 cloth marking stamp; its ink is non toxic and is rated for 40 or more washings.
One color against two color pads
A two color pad inks the date wheels in one color and the surrounding text in another, which is why it exists almost only for daters. The standard combination is blue text with red dates, and every two color listing offers that or uninked. Two go further: the HM-6104 pad at $15.95 lets you choose which color takes the copy and which the date, and the HM-6014 and HM-6114 pad at $19.95 colors the inner and outer areas separately. The step is predictable: $8.95 against $10.95 on most Trodat numbers, $19.95 against $22.95 on the HM-6015 and HM-6115. Not every model offers both, so where yours appears in one column only, that is the choice on offer.
Bottled ink and when to re-ink instead of replacing
A pad that has gone faint has usually run dry rather than failed, and the listings for the 5208 and 5480, the 5440 and the 4612 all state that the pad can be re-inked and used again. Re-ink when the felt is still soft and level and you want the same color back, because a 6CC bottle is $3.95 to $7.95 against $8.95 and up for a pad. Replace it when the felt has hardened, when the impression is patchy in a fixed spot, or when you want a different color. The rule that matters is chemistry. Specialty inks and separate stamp pads
Three inks exist because ordinary stamp ink will not sit on the surface in question. Fabric Stamp Ink at $19.95, or $7.95 for the 6CC, is a non acid indelible ink for cloth, linen and clothing; it will not bleach out, needs no hot iron, and cloth can be washed immediately after marking, but it must not be stamped over sizing. Quick Drying Stamp Ink at $19.95, also sold as Indexing Ink, is an all purpose waterproof ink for resin coated photographic paper, Mylar and chrome coated labels, drying in 10 to 15 seconds, in black only. Numbering Machine Ink at $24.95 is waterproof, made with mineral and vegetable oils, and is for metal dies only, never natural rubber, because the oil swells the material. All three want a hand stamp and a cloth covered felt pad, which is what the separate pads are for.

Sizes and dimensions
Replacement ink pads are not sold by dimension. No pad listing publishes a length and width, because a pad is cut to drop into a specific stamp chassis and the model number carries that information. If the listing names your model, the pad fits. Size is published on the separate stamp pads, bought by the footprint of the die, running from 1-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ on the PAD-00 to 9-1/4″ x 12-1/4″ on the PAD-LT. Pick a pad larger than the die in both directions, since a die that overhangs inks unevenly. One caution: the PAD-0 at $5.95 gives its size as 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ in the body text and 2-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ in the highlights; the body text figure matches the title. The bottled inks come in a full bottle and a 6CC bottle, and the catalog gives the 6CC volume but no figure for the larger size.
How many impressions you get
The commonest figure here is thousands of impressions, which nearly every listing uses without a number. Where a number is given it is up to 10,000 impressions, stated on the two color pads for the 5430 and for the 5460 and 5465, and on the one color pad for the 4912. Two listings claim tens of thousands: the PD-4817 and the PD-512-2. The honest reading is that a pad in an office stamp lasts several thousand impressions before the print goes pale, that the figure depends on how hard the stamp is worked and how absorbent the paper is, and that no per model rating is published for most of the range. What is published is the remedy: re-ink or replace the pad, and the stamp carries on. No count is given for the bottled inks or separate pads.
Ink and colors
Ink here divides into four families and they are not interchangeable. Water soluble is the default: Regular Rubber Stamp Ink at $11.95, or $3.95 for the 6CC bottle, is stated for regular rubber and self inking stamps, M-Series, Maxum and Trodat stamps and a cloth covered felt pad, in five colors. What you can customize
There is little to customize on a consumable: you are buying a part, not a design. What you choose is color, and on a two color pad which element takes which. The default is blue text with red dates, and the alternative on every two color listing is uninked, so the pad arrives dry for you to charge yourself. Two listings let you specify both colors, the HM-6104 pad at $15.95 and the HM-6014 and HM-6114 pad at $19.95. On the separate stamp pads, custom PMS color matching is available on the small sizes at a charge the catalog does not publish, so that is a quote; contact us for one. Beyond that, choose a dry pad for a nonstandard ink. Nothing here is engraved or made to artwork; if you need a new die rather than new ink, that is a stamp order.
The catalog contradicts itself on a few model numbers, so order by part number where you can
Eighty five pad listings written over many years contain drift, and a page that pretended otherwise would send people the wrong part. Four conflicts are worth knowing. The first is the Trodat 5212, which appears on two one color listings at two prices: the PD-15 at $8.95 with the 5415 and 54045, and the PD-512 at $12.95 with the 54120 and 54126. Both cannot be right for one stamp. Read the part number off the old pad, because that settles it and the model number does not.
The second is the one color pad for the 4927 at $8.95, whose description names the PD-4928 while a separate $8.95 listing sells a PD-4928 for the 4928 and 4958. The third is duplication inside titles: one Shiny pad is titled for the HM-6105 and HM-6105, another for the HM-6100 and HM-6100, and a Trodat title lists the 4817 twice, so each covers one model fewer than its title implies. The fourth is that a few Trodat web addresses name different models from their titles.
Three defenses. Order by the pad part number when you can read one, since it is more specific. Read the description as well as the title. And where the catalog is ambiguous, contact us rather than guessing between a $8.95 pad and a $12.95 one.
Ordering, proofs and delivery
The pad listings publish their own dispatch windows and they are short. The commonest statement is 24 to 48 hours, with variants reading 48 hours or less, and one to two days. One listing, the $15.95 one color pad for the E-907, E-917, H-6107 and HM-6007, states 24 to 48 days, plainly a typo for hours given every comparable listing says hours. The catalog publishes no transit time, no minimum order and no setup fee for consumables, so this page claims none. Order by model number or pad part number, state the ink color, and on a two color pad say which color goes on the text and which on the dates. Care and longevity
The house warranty rule is two years on embossing seals and six months on rubber stamps.
