Custom DEA and NPI number stamps, made to order
Acorn makes DEA number stamps and NPI number stamps. These are custom-text stamps, not stock designs, so they are not part of the 33 stock SKUs described above. Two things a buyer needs to know plainly. First, Acorn does not verify the DEA or NPI number you supply; the number that is engraved is the number you type, and checking it is yours to do. Second, a copy of the relevant certificate is collected before production, as an attribute on the ordering page, so have the document ready when you order. Acorn does not advise on DEA registration or on what your board or payer requires; we make the stamp and you supply the credential.

Sizes and dimensions
Two footprints run through the stock range, and our catalog is not perfectly consistent about how it writes them. The small impression is given as 1/2″ x 1-1/2″ on most pages, including the Slim Pre-Inked Please Forward Attending Physicians Stamp and the Self-Inking Medical Personnel Only Stamp; several wood handle pages describe the same die in the body copy as 5/8″ tall by 1-5/8″ wide while their own highlights say 1/2″ x 1-1/2″. The large impression is 7/8″ tall x 2-1/4″ wide and is stated that way consistently on the Large Medical Alert Rubber Stamp, the Large Self Inking Medical Alert Stamp, the Large Pre-Inked Medical Personnel Only Stamp and both large Please Forward Attending Physicians stamps. One page breaks from that and gives a hard figure: the Large Pre Inked Medical Alert Stamp at $23.95 states up to 50,000 impressions before re-inking, the only count published anywhere in this cluster. For the wood handle stamps at $10.95 and $12.95 and the art stamps at $11.95, no impression count is stated in our catalog, and there is a reason: they carry no ink of their own, so their working life is set by the pad you pair them with. Longest between refills is the pre-inked body. Longest as a tool is the wood handle, which has nothing inside it to fail.

The Duo Hand Heartbeat Of Medical Care Card Making Rubber Stamp is written up for water-based and permanent inks and names pigment, archival and washable pads. One page disagrees with its neighbors: the Slim Pre Inked Medical Alert Stamp at $12.95 says 5 ink colors in its highlights while the body copy says only your selection of ink colors. What you can customize

This is the thing buyers get wrong most often, and it is worth being blunt about. Acorn does make DEA number stamps and NPI number stamps. They are custom-text products, so they sit outside the 33 stock medical SKUs in this range. What Acorn does not do is validate the credential. The number that lands on the die is the number you typed into the order. There is no lookup, no registry check, no cross-reference against an expiration date.
What the ordering page does require is a copy of the relevant certificate, collected before production as an attribute on the order. Do not read that as verification. It is a record that the ordering party holds a certificate, gathered at order time.
