Acorn Sales Product Warranties

Our embossing seals and custom stamps are laser engraved and cut for a deep, precise raised image. They are hand made by our experienced craftsman to give you the best quality impression. Before your embossing seal or inked stamp leaves Acorn, we will have tested your custom stamps & embossers several times. We keep an impression sample with each order to ensure our embossers meet the highest quality standards.

Manual Embossing Seals

All embossing seals are guaranteed to leave a crisp and clean imprint for the lifetime of your seal. Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective seal with a seal of identical size and impression. Rubber Stamps, Self Inking Stamps, Date Stamps and Pre-Inked Stamps

All Stamps are guaranteed for a period of 180 days (6 months) after the purchase of your stamp, Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective stamp of identical size and impression. You must use ink designed for your stamp. Use of any other ink will ruin your stamp and voids the warranty. If you are not sure of which ink to use or proper use of a stamp, please contact us.

Motorized Embossers, Electric Time Date Machines and Widmer E-3 Embosser

Manufacturer warrants only repair or replacement of unit, at manufacturer's discretion, for one year or up to 20,000 cycles from date of manufacturer of a defective unit being used according to instructions and for intended purposes. Any abuses such as, but not limited to, failure to follow instructions, overheating, making bump impressions, damage to set screws, gear damage, alterations, removal of identification, disassembly, improper voltage, exposure to liquids, etc. will void warranty. No liability is assumed for injury, loss or damages incurred. Unit use is at the sole risk of the user. Units returned must be shipped prepaid at sender's expense. Return freight charge will be sender's responsibility. Damages during shipment are not manufacturers responsibility. Number of lifetime impressions may vary depending on operator and quality of die and counter used. No other warranty is expressed or implied.

Heavy Duty Electric Embossing Seals

Manufacturer warrants only repair or replacement of unit, at manufacturer's discretion, for two years or up to 200,000 cycles from date of manufacture of a defective unit being used according to instructions and for intended purpose. Any abuses such as, but not limited to, failure to follow instructions, improper voltage or operator error are not included. Unit use is at the sole risk of the user. Warranty is void if any alterations are made mechanically, physically or disassembly by anyone other than manufacturer. No liability is assumed for injury, loss or damages incurred. Returned units must be shipped prepaid. Return freight charge will be sender's responsibility. Damages during shipping are not manufacturers responsibility. Number of lifetime impressions may vary depending on operator. No other warranty is expressed or implied.

Acorn Sales Company Inc. shall not be liable for any defects or damage caused by the misuse of our stamps & seals whether intentional or unintentional. In the event defects due to manufacturing, material or normal usage should occur, we will repair or replace the defective seal with a seal of identical size and impression without charge typically within 2 working days of the receipt of the defective embosser.

A. Normal Usage

Normal usage constitutes daily business or personal uses for which the stamp or seal was designed. This includes embossing on paper using one sheet at a time and for the correct paper weight which the seal was designed. Normal usage does not include commercial or industrial stamping or any use where the original seal has been modified or used in conjunction with any type of stamping machine. The most common misuse of the embossing seal is to use the seal on more than one piece of paper or use the seal when the insert is not properly seated in the handle. Doing either of these can cause your seal insert to bend or bow which is not covered under your guarantee.

B. Proper Care

Custom made Acorn Seals should be stored in a dust-free environment. Seals should be kept where the temperature is moderate - extreme heat or cold (such as the inside of a car on a summer's day) might cause the counter die of the embosser to become misaligned, resulting in an uneven impression. This is a repairable condition. If your embossing seal has been tampered with, the seal is no longer covered under the guarantee.

C. Repair/ Replacement

To obtain repairs or replacements within the terms of this guarantee, please call Acorn at (804) 359-0505 to obtain information on guarantee performance. ACORN Sales Company shall, within 2 working days of receipt of the embosser, at its discretion, repair any seal that becomes inoperable due to defect, or if the seal cannot be repaired, replace it with one of identical size and impression without charge. The performance of duties under this guarantee shall not be required of Acorn Sales Company, Inc.

If Acorn Sales Company, Inc. can show that the defect, malfunction or failure of any seal to conform with this guarantee was caused by damage not resulting from defect or malfunction. While in your possession or unreasonable use including failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. If the defect does not fall under proper care or normal usage, then we will communicate with you about potential charges for repair or replacement.

D. Limitation of Liability
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, SHALL ACORN SALES COMPANY, INC. BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SEAL. ACORN SALES COMPANY INC.'S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL BE FOR REPLACEMENT ONLY. IT IS AT THE DISCRETION OF ACORN SALES COMPANY, INC. IF WE REPAIR OR REPLACE YOUR STAMP OR SEAL.
